Hello there!👋

If your Camera/Microphone permissions are not working, please reset them by using the lock icon 🔒 in the address bar of your Google Chrome browser.

You may need to reload the page once you've done so.

If this doesn't work, please make sure that your Google Chrome browser is updated and that none of the apps on your device are currently using your camera.

Here are some additional tips on how to fix the following hassle. 👇

1. Check privacy settings.

  • Click on the Start menu and select the Settings app.

  • Go to the Privacy category and select the Camera option.

Make sure that the Let apps use my camera option is turned on.

2. Check Permissions.

  • If your Camera/Microphone permissions are not working, please reset them using the lock icon 🔒 in the address bar of your Google Chrome browser.

  • If this doesn't work, your camera may be blocked, and you will need to enable this from your system settings.
Select Start > Settings > Privacy > Camera. In Allow access to the camera on this device, select Change, and make sure Camera access for this device is turned on. This setting lets any user on the device choose if they want apps to be able to access the camera.

3. Update drivers.

  • Right-click on the Start menu and select Device Manager.

  • Expand Imaging devices, right-click on your system webcam entry, and then select the Update Driver Software option.

  • Click on the Browse my computer for software driver option.

  • Click on the Let me pick a device driver from a list of device drivers on my computer option.

  • Make sure that the Show compatible hardware option is checked.

  • Select USB Video Device and click Next.

  • Let the system update or install the selected driver. Once it’s done, click Close, exit Device Manager, and reboot your system.

4. Clear Cache.

  • Navigate to the 3 dots on the top right corner > Select settings from the drop-down menu > Privacy and security > Delete browsing data > Advanced > Set Time range to last 7 days > Make sure to tick everything except for Passwords & AutoFill Data so that you don't erase your passwords and log-ins. After this is done, please restart your device and try again.

Best of luck with your interview!🍀
