How do I use myInterview with LiveHire?
myInterview is a video screening tool that enables you to streamline hiring and reveal the personality behind the paper.
The integration with LiveHire allows you to invite candidates to a video introduction and review each candidate’s response from within LiveHire. There are two core workflows available by integrating myInterview and LiveHire, selective invite and auto-invite.
Selective Invite allows you to review a candidate’s application and progress them forward either in bulk or one at a time to a myInterview Video Introduction.
Auto-Invite is designed to automatically progress a candidate’s application post applying and invite them to a myInterview Video Introduction.
If you’re not sure which workflow suits your use-cases, please reach out to your Customer Success Manager.

Enabling the Integration:
Note: Access role must be Super Admin in order to set up the integration. Please contact your LiveHire via support@livehire.com prior to connecting the integration to request your client_id, client_secret and the status change email required.
Step 1: Connecting the Integration
1. In the myInterview platform, navigate to your username at the top right and select Integrations from the drop-down.
2. Click ‘Add Integration’ on the LiveHire tile.
3. Enter in your LiveHire client_id, secret_id and status change email obtained from your customer success manager. The status change email will be responsible for all notes and communications inside LiveHire.
How to use the integration
Once the integration is set up, there are two important factors to consider in the integration. In myInterview, you can create a question template, download the list of templates, send this to the LiveHire team who will populate them for you.
When the template is linked to a job in LiveHire and the first candidate is invited to their video interview, it will automatically create the job in myInterview, set up the interview with the question templates and send an invitation to the candidate.
Setting up a myInterview template
In order to send the appropriate interview to your candidate, the question templates need to be set and linked to your LiveHire job posting. You can set up as many question templates as you require before submitting them to the LiveHire team to populate your account.
Managing templates
Open the myInterview console and select “Templates” from the side-bar.
Use the dropdown to edit your templates or create a new template.
Exporting Templates
Once you have set up your question templates, you can download the templates file which will contain both the id and name. Please send this file to LiveHire via support@livehire.com.
Enabling myInterview on a Job
In LiveHire under job details select ‘Yes’ to Is Video Interviewing Required.
Select to enable selective invite or auto invite.
Select the Video Interview template that was set up prior.
Customising Messaging to Candidates
Within myInterview you can set up the following messaging across the invitation journey for candidates:
Invite Email (Email the candidate receives inviting them to their video interview)
Invite SMS (SMS Message the candidate receives inviting them to their video interview)
Reminder Email (If automated reminders are enabled, the email sent to gently nudge candidates)
Reminder SMS (If automated SMS are enabled, the SMS is sent to gently nudge candidates)
Thank You Email. (Confirmation email the candidate receives after completing their video interview)
Within each template, you can customize the message that candidate’s will receive across the job for your account. Please ensure to ‘Set this template as default’
Managing Candidate’s Video Interviews in LiveHire
When you’re ready to invite a candidate to their video interview, simply click on their stage and select ‘Video Interview Request’
Reviewing video interviews within LiveHire
When a candidate has completed their myInterview, the status will be progressed to the ‘Video Interview Review’ stage. Alternatively, you can also log in to the myInterview Dashboard for additional functionality.
You will be able to see on the candidate’s activity timeline the date/time they have been invited and their unique interview link for reference.
Usage and troubleshooting
If the candidate provided a phone number (with international format with full area code) they will also receive an SMS invite to the interview.
After the interview is completed, the status will change to “Video Interview Review” and will have a note attached with a link to review the video interview
Can I edit the questions in a job?
If you want to edit the questions in a job, you can either edit the template in myInterview. (Note: This will affect all jobs using this template)
Alternatively, we would recommend selecting a template in livehire, inviting a placeholder candidate such as yourself and then editing the job questions directly in myInterview. Any subsequent candidates invited will see the new questions.
Oh-no troubleshooting
When a candidate is moved to the “Video Interview Request” if an error occurs the status will change to “Video Interview Issue”.
Once all the issues have been resolved, the invite can be resent by moving the candidate to a different stage and moving them back to the trigger stage.
Here are some common issues:
Missing email: A candidate must have at least one email address on file
SMS Invite not received: This typically occurs because the phone number wasn't internationally formatted.
